Researching & finding investors deeply for recent investments
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away (LinkedIn), we were just starting to test our AI’s ability to write and send outbound messages.
One of our first searches was for tech founders. That’s when our AI discovered Ankur, founder of Ellenux—“India’s largest venture studio in the making.”
Here’s how we use GodmodeHQ:
1. We load up a list of leads that match our ideal customer profile (ICP).
2. Our AI digs into their LinkedIn About sections, posts, news articles—anything it can find about them or their company.
3. We guide the AI on what kind of message to write, and it uses all the info it’s gathered to craft a super-personal outbound message.
4. Then, our AI does this for hundreds of leads at once and sends out the messages.
Now, back to Ankur. His LinkedIn About section was packed with juicy details—exactly what our AI loves because it gives it plenty to work with:
So, using GodmodeHQ, we sent him an automated LinkedIn connection request. Once he connected with us, the AI fired off a message it had crafted based on Ankur’s About section:
“Pleasure to connect, Ankur! Clever move with the bathtub and love your mantras.”
Keep in mind, this was V1 of our product. The AI was nowhere near as good as it is today. But Ankur liked the message, responded, and before long, we were chatting and set up a feedback call. Often, when salespeople ask for feedback, they’re really asking for money—just in a polite way. Not this time. Ankur is a pro in AI outbound and a master of prompt engineering, so we were genuinely interested in his insights.
You know the saying: “Ask for money, you get feedback; ask for feedback, you get customers.” That’s exactly what happened.
Ankur loved what we showed him, so we gave him a one-week free trial.
Now, back then, our product was still in its early stages—buggy, not as fast as it should be, no Gmail or HubSpot integration, and no campaign reporting (which, let’s be real, is kind of crucial for outbound campaigns).
But that’s why Ankur’s feedback was so important. We needed someone who’d take a chance on an unpolished product and help us refine it.
Ankur also helped us learn more about how our AI handles complex prompts because he’s a power user who writes long, detailed ones.
His process was:
Use GodmodeHQ to find founders in tech in Silincon Valley
Enrich data points like company description, LinkedIn About sections and other
Use website research to find unstructured information on leads
Use the data from points 2 and 3 to write and send outbound messages on Gmail and LinkedIn
We’re incredibly grateful to Ankur for helping shape the product into what it is now. When we’re about to make a big development decision, he’s the first person we ask for feedback—always honest, always critical, and always with a smile. Here’s what Ankur had to say about working with us:
